As a culmination of the discussions held in the past period between the Air Force Staff and the College of Electrical and Electronic Technology through the visit of His Excellency Major General Mohammed Manfour, Chief of the Air Force Staff, and his meeting with the Dean of the College, department heads, and scientific sections managers, as well as his tour inside the college premises to closely inspect the laboratories, equipment, classrooms, and lecture halls, and to learn about the available capabilities.
The scientific and technical cooperation agreement was signed between the two parties at the college headquarters last Wednesday, which includes the exchange of scientific and technical expertise between the two parties in research and technical fields, training programs for the members of both parties, and the provision of field training opportunities for college students in the workshops and laboratories of the Air Force in their specializations. The agreement also included the creation of a new specialization in the college in the field of aviation electronics, the acceptance of Air Force students at the college to prepare them as engineers in the fields of communications, automatic control, and electrical technology, and the opportunity for others to pursue postgraduate studies for a master's degree at the college. The agreement also included the training and preparation of specialized technical teams in the installation, operation, and maintenance of renewable energy systems. With the signing of the agreement, it has come into actual implementation through the assignment of a coordinator from each party to oversee the implementation of the agreement’s terms and the formation of joint working teams in the coming days, God willing.
